How to connect sharable.link to Claude

One URL and a single sign-in. After that, Claude can publish anything it builds as a real web page — and update or take it down later, without leaving the chat.

Takes about a minute·Free·Claude web, desktop, mobile, and Claude Code

Connector URL

https://sharable.link/mcp

The directory listing installs in one click and shows the tools and permissions before you approve. The second button opens Claude with the name and URL already filled in — use it on Claude Desktop. Or paste the URL into Claude's Add custom connectorfield yourself. Nothing to install either way — it's a remote server, so there's no Node.js, no config file, and nothing to keep running on your machine.

Optional: sign in first

You'll need an account to publish either way. Doing it now means the window Claude opens goes straight to approval instead of asking you to sign in mid-flow.

Connect it in three steps

  1. Open the directory listing

Open the Sharable Link listing in Claude's connector directory and click Add. To add it by hand instead — on Claude Desktop, or in any other MCP client — go to Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, and paste the URL above exactly as written, with no trailing slash.

  2. Sign in and approve

Claude opens a sharable.link sign-in window. Continue with Google or Microsoft, then review the permissions and click Allow. Copy the prompt sharable.link shows you.

  3. Paste it into Claude

Paste the prompt into Claude and send it. That's it. Or ask in your own words, for example: “Build me a one-page site for my side project and publish it on sharable.link.”

What to say to Claude

Name sharable.link when you ask. Claude has its own built-in sharing, and naming sharable.link tells it to use the connector instead.

  • “Publish this on sharable.link”

For a page you made in the chat.

  • “Upload report.html to sharable.link”

For a file you already have, up to 25 MB. At 150 KB or more, you drop it into an upload area.

  • “Update my sharable.link page q3-report with this version”

Replaces the page and keeps its link. q3-report is the last part of the link.

  • “Change the date on my sharable.link page q3-report to 31 October”

In the chat where you made the page: changes just that part, however big the page is, and keeps its link.

  • “Publish this on sharable.link with a password”

Visitors type the password before they see the page.

Using Claude Code instead?

One command, then authenticate from inside the session:

claude mcp add --transport http sharable https://sharable.link/mcp

Then run /mcp and pick sharable to sign in. Claude Code opens your browser, you approve, and it comes back authenticated.

What Claude can do once connected

Six tools. Claude asks before running anything that changes a page, so nothing gets published or deleted without you seeing it first.

share_htmlCreates

Publish page

Takes the HTML of a page under 150 KB and puts it at a URL. Optionally password-protected — or shared only with specific people, or with everyone at your company's domain.

update_pageModifies

Update published page

Replaces the content at a URL you already shared, with new HTML under 150 KB. The link never changes, so everyone who can open it sees the new version. It can change the password or who the page is shared with too, with or without new content.

edit_pageModifies

Edit part of a page

Changes part of a page you already published, like a number, a heading or a section, without sending the whole page again. Ask in the chat where you made the page. It works on pages of any size, so a big deck can be fixed without dropping the file again, and the link stays the same.

upload_fileCreates

Publish a file

For an HTML file of 150 KB or more, up to 25 MB, such as a deck or report full of images. It shows an upload area right in the chat, in claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Cowork: you drop the file there, and it's published, or replaces one of your pages, with the link shown in the area. If you made the file in Claude, download it from the chat first. In Claude Code, Claude gives you a link to the same upload area on sharable.link.

unshare_pageModifies

Unpublish page

Deletes the page. The URL starts returning 404 immediately.

list_my_pagesRead-only

List my published pages

Read-only. Shows what you've published, with view counts — useful for asking Claude to “update my sharable.link pricing page from yesterday”.

What happens when you connect

Connecting runs a standard OAuth sign-in. You authenticate with Google or Microsoft — sharable.link never sees your password — and then approve exactly what Claude is allowed to do. Claude receives a token scoped to this connector and nothing else.

Every page you publish is recorded against your account, which is what lets you list your pages, update them later, and take them down. It's also why publishing requires signing in: an anonymous page has nobody to answer for it.

The connector can

  • Publish pages under your account
  • Update and unpublish pages you own
  • List your pages and their view counts
  • See your name and email address

It cannot

  • Read your other Claude conversations or files
  • Touch pages published by anyone else
  • See your Google or Microsoft password
  • Act after you remove it from Connectors

Published pages run inside a sandboxed frame on a separate domain, and they're served with noindex so they don't turn up in search results. Details in our privacy policy and terms.

If something goes wrong

“Couldn't reach the MCP server”

Almost always the URL. It must be the /mcp path with no trailing slash and no query string. Re-copy it from the button above.

The sign-in window never appears

Your browser is blocking the popup. Allow popups for claude.ai and add the connector again.

Claude keeps asking me to sign in

Your access token expired and the refresh failed — usually after a long gap. Remove the connector and add it again; you'll be signed straight back in.

“No page named … belongs to your account”

You're signed in with a different provider than the one that published the page. Google and Microsoft create separate accounts, even with the same email. Sign in with the one you originally used.

Claude Code opens a browser but never completes

After you click Allow, the browser waits on a screen with a prompt to copy. Press one of its buttons to finish signing in. If it still stalls, a firewall or VPN is blocking Claude Code's localhost callback (a loopback redirect on a random port). Try again with the VPN off.

Claude says it can't reach sharable.link

With the connector, Claude doesn't need to reach sharable.link from its sandbox. A page under 150 KB goes through the connector itself. For a bigger file, in claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Cowork, Claude shows an upload area in the chat: download the file from the chat and drop it there, and the link appears. In Claude Code, Claude gives you a link to the same upload area on sharable.link. If you see this with the SKILL.md skill, Claude's code sandbox is blocking the network: allow sharable.vercel.app in Claude's settings, or upload the file yourself in your dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets Claude call external tools. A connector is a server Claude talks to over HTTP. Adding sharable.link as a connector gives Claude six tools for publishing web pages — no extension, no local install, no Node.js.

Yes. Publishing requires a signed-in sharable.link account, so every page has an owner. You sign in with Google or Microsoft during the connection flow — there's no separate password to create. Viewers never need an account unless you share a page with specific people; then they sign in with Google or Microsoft to open it.

Yes. Connecting and publishing are free. Pages stay live until you unpublish them.

Claude on the web, the macOS and Windows desktop apps, Claude mobile, and Claude Code. On the web you can add it in one click from the Claude directory listing; the desktop app uses Settings → Connectors, and Claude Code uses the claude mcp add command shown above.

Yes. It's a standard remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP with OAuth, so any MCP client that supports remote servers can connect to the same URL. The sign-in step works the same way.

Your email address and name, the pages you've published, who they're shared with, and their view counts. The connector can't read your other Claude conversations, files, or anything else in your account — it only receives what you send to its six tools.

Yes, two ways. Ask Claude to unshare your sharable.link page, or open your dashboard and choose Unshare from the ⋯ menu next to the page. Either deletes the content and makes the URL return 404.

Say “Publish this on sharable.link with a password”, and recipients see a password form before the content. You can also add, change, or remove a password later from your dashboard, or by asking Claude: “Add a password to my sharable.link page q3-report”.

Yes, and without a password. Say “Publish this on sharable.link for everyone at acme.com”, or name specific email addresses instead. Anyone opening the link signs in with Google or Microsoft, and only people on the list get in: everyone at acme.com, or exactly the addresses you named. Change the list any time from your dashboard.

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and remove sharable.link. Your published pages stay live — removing the connector only revokes Claude's access, it doesn't delete anything.

Ready when you are

Add the connector, build something in Claude, and say “Publish this on sharable.link”. Everything you publish shows up in your dashboard with its view count.
