Privacy Policy
Table of Contents
This Privacy Policy describes how sharable.link ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by BotsCrew, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and services at sharable.link (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who We Are
sharable.link is an independent tool built by Nazar Hembara and BotsCrew. It allows users to turn Claude outputs — such as dashboards, reports, landing pages, and interactive HTML files — into clean, shareable public links. sharable.link is not affiliated with Anthropic.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect:
- Email address
- Display name or username
- Authentication credentials (passwords are stored in hashed form; if you use a third-party OAuth provider such as Google or GitHub, we receive only the information that provider shares)
2.2 Content You Share
When you use the /share command or otherwise publish content through the Service, we store the HTML files and associated assets you upload so they can be served at a public URL.
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
When you visit sharable.link or view a shared link, we may automatically collect:
- IP address (anonymized where feasible)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referring URL
- Pages visited and time spent
- Device type
We use Vercel Analytics to collect this data. Vercel Analytics is a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies for tracking and does not collect personally identifiable information from visitors.
2.4 Information From Third Parties
If you sign in via a third-party service (e.g., Google, GitHub), we receive basic profile information as permitted by that service and your privacy settings there.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Service — host your published content and serve it to viewers.
- Manage your account — authenticate you and maintain your session.
- Improve the Service — analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and develop new features.
- Communicate with you — send service-related notices (e.g., security alerts, account changes). We will not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in consent.
- Enforce our Terms of Use — detect abuse, fraud, or violations of our policies.
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
4.1 What We Use
We use a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies — required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled while using the Service.
- Analytics — Vercel Analytics collects aggregated, non-personally-identifiable usage data without setting tracking cookies.
4.2 Third-Party Cookies
We do not serve third-party advertising cookies. If we integrate any third-party service that sets its own cookies (e.g., an OAuth provider during sign-in), those cookies are governed by that third party's privacy policy.
4.3 Managing Cookies
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using account features.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in limited circumstances:
- Service providers — We use Vercel for hosting and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect your information.
- Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Business transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
- With your consent — We may share information in other ways if you explicitly agree.
6. User-Generated Content
Important: Any content you publish via /share is hosted at a public URL that anyone with the link can view. Do not share content that contains personal data, confidential information, or trade secrets unless you intend for it to be publicly accessible.
We do not monitor or pre-screen the content you publish, but we reserve the right to remove content that violates our Terms of Use. We are not responsible for any personal information you choose to include in content you make publicly available through the Service.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Published content remains available at its URL until you delete it or we remove it in accordance with our Terms of Use. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for service improvement purposes.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Hashed password storage
- Access controls limiting who can access user data
- Regular review of security practices
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction — Request that we limit how we process your data.
- Data portability — Request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at nazar@botscrew.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Lawful basis for processing: We process your personal data on the following bases: (a) performance of a contract when providing the Service; (b) legitimate interests in improving and securing the Service; and (c) your consent, where applicable.
10. International Data Transfers
Our Service is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure, which may process data in the United States and other countries. If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
